23rd Post - March Overview
Finally, here are my recommendations for March, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, March has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital. Spring has sprung, and – like the flower beds in Hyde Park – London's events calendar is bursting into action. Outdoor fun is on the rise, but there are still plenty of brilliant exhibitions, pop-ups and markets for those of you not quite ready to hang up your big coat just yet.
We resolve to do things we've only dreamed of doing. And not to do other things ever again. We may surprise ourselves as we face our future. Or be surprised when we're cleaning up the past. Dishonesty may help some make a few good amends. While others are left to wonder if they can handle the truth. And whether you kick things off by sleeping with the enemy, or trying your best to remake a former friend - One thing's for sure, anything is possible -- N

St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival:
London's Irish community heads to Trafalgar Square to celebrate their patron saint and everyone's invited. The Irish are ace at partying. So good, in fact, they even have a special untranslatable phrase the craic – to describe their unique brand of conviviality. They manage to have a brilliant time in the most unpromising locations – your typical Irish church hall is gloomier than Eeyore. So, with Trafalgar Square as the setting for London’s official bash in celebration of their patron saint, a blast is pretty much guaranteed. As it takes place on Sunday March 13, a sizeable proportion of the population (not all of them Irish by a long chalk) is set to be looking appropriately green till at least Thursday, which is when St Patrick’s Day actually falls. The parade will feature pageantry, floats, music and more. Leaving Piccadilly at midday, it'll wind its way to the festival in Trafalgar Square, where sports clubs, marching bands and dance schools will entertain the crowds until 6pm.
A food market will offer Irish beef stew cooked on 'live fire' by acclaimed Irish chef John Rellihan, lamb and potato shepherd's pie from The Pie Cart, Irish brisket from Salt Beef Bros, and fried chicken in Kerrygold butter buns from Butchies.
Chocolate Market at Duke of York Square:
On Saturday 26th March, Easter fever is hitting Chelsea once again with a decadent Chocolate Market descending on Duke of York Square for a third year running. Visitors can feast on chocolates and other treats from vendors such as Amelia Rope who'll be selling her salt caramel truffles and pale rose bars, and Hans Sloane who'll have Easter eggs made from rich dark chocolate that transform hot milk into the creamiest of cocoa drinks.
