Beat The Burn

Sorry to say, but there's often a price to pay for too much fun in the sun, so I am here to help fix red faces with this trio of tips...

1. Soothe - Immediately after getting fried, use a cooling aloe vera gel or mask to alleviate that uncomfortable hot feeling says dermatologist Dr Alicia Barbra, and stay clear of heavy face creams for one or two days as they can trap in the heat.

So try TonyMoly I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet £3.99

2. Gently Wash - You want to avoid scrubbing and irritating your skin with harsh chemicals and exfoliants, so use a light touch and go with a calming, all natural cleanser.

So try Simple Gentle Scrub - £5.99

3. Hydrate - Once the 'heat' phase of your burn has passed, you need to slather on the moisturiser as there's nothing you can do about peeling (dead skin has to come off eventually), but a petroleum based balm will definitely help.

SkinCeuticals Hydra Balm £14.99

Here we have some famous faces having fun and staying safe whilst in the sun!!
