29th Post - September Overview
Finally, here are my recommendations for September, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, September has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. And even the most disciplined people can resort to destruction. While others try to rebuild bridges using more intimate tactics. Sometimes the light is so dazzling it’s all you can see. Other times dark clouds devour you and it seems the clouds will never clear. But when the sun beams while the rain falls, it can bring a bittersweet rainbow. So watch out. Just when you think you’re walking off into the sunset, a lightning bolt may strike you down...
A Movie Marathon at Picture House Central:
Ever daydreamed about having a sleepover in a movie house? Well, here’s your chance! Time Out and Picture House have teamed up to offer you an exclusive night of movie madness on Friday September 16, and you can be part of the silver screen action for just £25.
Take a trip back to 1996 thanks to a host of the year’s best films. Watch the absolute classics - 'Scream', 'The Long Kiss Goodnight', 'The Craft', 'Twister' and 'Beavis and Butthead Do America' on the big screen and relive your youth... or, you know, experience the best era that ever was if you weren't born yet. With introductions from the Picture House movie team and giveaways throughout the night, you’re guaranteed to have a filmtastic time!
What’s more, you can quench your desire for films without getting thirsty – the bar will be open until 2am, offering endless cups of tea and coffee alongside the usual selection of movie-watching snacks, treats and soft drinks that'll be available to purchase.
The Totally Thames festival will once again grace the banks of our much-loved waterway this September (Sep 1 - Sep 30 2016). An annual celebration of the River Thames, dive into a month-long party full of arts festivals, community events, regattas, river races, foreshore archaeology and environmental activities. With new installations for 2016 and an event line-up bigger than previous years, check out our pick of highlights below and head down to the river for one of the many London events in September worth making a splash about.
But, if you feel like relaxing this month, then put your feet up and enjoy Glamour magazine, full of celebrity gossip, style and scandals!! Hope you all enjoy my recommendations and have a fun time in September. See you in October, for Halloween treats (or tricks) and I'll be making sure how you can battle Winter but in the most glamorous way!!!
