71st Post - March Overview
Finally, here are my recommendations for March, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, March has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital. Spring has sprung, and – like the flower beds in Hyde Park – London's events calendar is bursting into action. Outdoor fun is on the rise, but there are still plenty of brilliant exhibitions, pop-ups and markets for those of you not quite ready to hang up your big coat just yet.
They say the early bird gets the worm. Inspiring motivation. If you're the bird. The worm, however, has no idea when her future will be plucked away by the next airborne attacker. The Beatles sang, Living is easy with eyes closed. But even with our eyes open we all still have blind spots. Or maybe we're just looking in the wrong place. But when we finally do see the light, it's Strawberry Fields Forever...
London Book and Screen Week:
London Book and Screen Week return to the capital in 2020 for seven days of storytelling, readings and talks. Now in its fifth year, the landmark event series brings storytelling and the written word to life, uniting the capital’s avid readers, writers, game, film and TV fans with a diverse range of events taking place across literary London. This year's highlights include a 40 years celebration of the iconic ‘Yes Minister’, a conversation with Lynda La Plante as she discusses her illustrious career, coming of age talks with novelists Joe Dunthorne and Lisa Owen, and an on-page and on-screen discussion with Scarlett Sabet and Jimmy Page.
Sample Spring at The Greenwich Peninsula:
Celebrating its tenth edition, head to the Greenwich Peninsula for this pop-up urban market. Featuring a wide range of emerging and indie brands, producers and artists across fashion, homeware, and health and beauty. Aside from snooping around wares, there’ll be a chance to get crafty at one of the many drop-ins and pre-booked craft workshops happening throughout the day.
