Best Summer Wedges

There's no better shoe to wear in summer than a wedge sandal. When you want the sass of a high heel, but all the care-free comfort of a sturdy flat, wedges are a gift from above.

If you don't believe us, just ask Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (AKA Kate Middleton) who first pulled out a pair of CastaƱers back in 2019 and, tbh, she's never looked back. Why spend hours on your feet in the hot sun wearing nude patent courts, when you can feel comfy AF in wedges?

Obvs the world went nuts for Kate's fave Spanish shoe brand, which specialises in all things espadrille. But we get that £80 is a little spenny (although we can vouch for this particular purchase: it'll last!), so we've gone and found you some incred lookalikes starting from just £21.99.

So, here we have it, the CastaƱer lookalikes we've been banging on about. We reckon even Kate wouldn't know the difference.

Carina 80 canvas wedge espadrilles, £80, CastaƱer

f you can afford it, though, we seriously recommend buying the real. Cosmo's fashion team has been wearing 'em since summer 2017 and those OG pairs are still going strong.

Whisper metallic leather wedge sandals, £450, Aquazzura

Aquazzura's wedges nod to the noughties (in a V. good way) with their gold leather straps and cork sole.
