This Year's Best Dresses - 2020

Despite the pandemic and scaled back events, this has seen some great style and fashion on the red carpet and here we have the stars that raised the bar for red carpet glamour.... Here we have the best red carpet moments this year...

Jessica Alba:

Jessica Alba brought the bronze to the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (February 9) in LA. You could probably take a wild guess at what designer she wore and gamble right — simply by the opulent allure of this gown. The Versace gown was dripping in metallic, embellished sultriness, as is standard. She paired the dress with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a silver clutch which offered a cool edge to the rest of the golden glow.

Taylor Swift:

Last year, Taylor Swift was a surprise presenter at the Golden Globes. This year, she's a nominee thanks to Cats. The singer's song with Andrew Lloyd Webber for the film, "Beautiful Ghosts," is nominated for Best Original Song - Motion Picture. For this historic occasion, Swift really dressed up. She opted for a blue and yellow giant floral dress by Etro. She accessorized minimally, wearing dangle earrings. Her hair was up.

Brie Larson:

Brie Larson was out serving the fashion on the 2020 Oscars red carpet in a Celine by Hedi Slimane dress adorned in 13,000 Swarovski crystals. Brie walked the red carpet in the bedazzled gown with a flowing cape only Captain Marvel could pull off. The elegant gown featured a high leg slit detail, a deep v neckline, and vertical stripes with that glistened like the galaxy's brightest stars.

Zendaya:

Zendaya made an outfit change halfway through the show, which she debuted when she won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. Just as glam as her first look, the actress switched into a custom Giorgio Armani Privé black matte weave skirt with powder-pink polka dots, paired with a black velvet bandeau top fully embroidered in pearls and crystals. She accessorized with Bulgari jewels.

Rose Leslie:

The actress turned heads in her emerald green dress, which was adorned with thousands of glittering beads.  Rose complemented her dress with glittering green earrings and wore her ginger hair up in a sophisticated chignon.

Ana De Armas:

The brunette beauty attended the Golden Globes looking dazzling in a sequin floor sweeper by Ralph & Russo, which she paired with sapphire jewellery. With its bandeau neckline, belted waist and midnight blue hue, Ana's gown is the more grown up take on the princess trend.

Shay Mitchell:

The actress wore a gown from Saudi label Hondaya, which is the Arabic word for a sword’s sheath and symbolizes strength -  we couldn’t think of a more perfect fit, tbh. The gown from the eponymous label was crafted in a fully beaded tulle and featured a high slit and plunging neckline.

Kate Hudson:

Kate Hudson took the open shoulder trend to new extremes with a plunging neckline. The new mum showed off her enviable post-baby body in this clingy Vivienne Westwood frock with silver flowers.
