95th Post - March Overview
Finally, here are my recommendations for March, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, March has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital. Spring has sprung, and – like the flower beds in Hyde Park – London's events calendar is bursting into action. Outdoor fun is on the rise, but there are still plenty of brilliant exhibitions, pop-ups and markets for those of you not quite ready to hang up your big coat just yet.
They say the early bird gets the worm. Inspiring motivation. If you're the bird. The worm, however, has no idea when her future will be plucked away by the next airborne attacker. The Beatles sang, Living is easy with eyes closed. But even with our eyes open we all still have blind spots. Or maybe we're just looking in the wrong place. But when we finally do see the light, it's Strawberry Fields Forever...
WOW: Women of the World Festival
Billed as ‘the world’s biggest, most comprehensive festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people’, WOW – Women of the World returns as an in-person event in 2022. Taking over the Southbank Centre on the weekend after International Women’s Day, it brings together activists, musicians, comedians, writers and other distinguished speakers for three days of invigorating conversations, workshops and performances.
This year’s lineup is as impressive as ever, with Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo, ‘The Guilty Feminist’ podcaster Deborah Frances-White, revered poet Warsan Shire, novelists Elizabeth Day and Marian Keyes all booked to appear. The hilarious Figs in Wigs will be performing their rendition of ‘Little Wimmin’, while comedian Bridget Christie will be bringing her latest show ‘Who Am I?’ to the Southbank Centre for the occasion. And to top it all off, legendary activist Angela Davis will join the festival on Sunday evening via a live link-up from San Francisco. Once again, you can either purchase tickets to individual events or buy a pass that will get you into a multitude of different things throughout the day or the whole festival.
But, if you feel like relaxing this month then put your feet up and enjoy In Style magazine, full of celebrity gossip, style and secrets!! Hope you all enjoy my recommendations and have a great time in March... See you in April, when I'll be sharing style secrets, as well as places to go and things to do to get you 'in the know' for Spring 2022!!
