Stepping off the lift onto the sixth-floor rooftop of The Now Building in Soho feels less like entering a standard dining room and more like walking into an opulent, immersive dreamscape. Tattu London has carved out a distinct identity in the capital's crowded culinary landscape, pairing high-end contemporary Cantonese cuisine with a breathtaking design concept inspired by traditional Chinese courtyard houses.
Designed by Joyce Wang Studio, the sprawling space is divided into distinct areas representing mythical symbols—the Phoenix, Koi Carp, Dragon, and Tiger. It is dominated by an extraordinary cherry blossom installation that glows softly against dark timber, gleaming marble, and expansive glass windows. As evening sets in and the resident DJ turns up the tempo, the venue transitions into a vibrant, high-energy social hub with sweeping views across the London skyline.
The menu matches the dramatic interior with an artistic approach to modern Chinese cooking. Diners can sample delicate chicken truffle shumai, beautifully presented dim sum platters, and stellar small plates like seven-spiced seared tuna. Larger plates feature luxury ingredients such as caramel soy-aged beef fillet and chilean sea bass, while dessert presentations—including their famous smoking sweet creations deliver an undeniable theatrical flair.
While the price point firmly places it in the special-occasion category, the combination of stunning aesthetics, creative cocktails, and an unbeatable Soho rooftop location makes Tattu London a destination designed to leave a lasting impression.
