27th Post - July Overview
So here are July's posts, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen, eat, read and of course not forgetting about July's hottest beauty products and making sure you embrace this Summer's most elegant look. In the meantime, July has much to offer especially in London, head out this June and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and happenings in the capital.
Mick, Keith and their questionably-costumed cohorts said, “You can’t always get what you want.” But that doesn’t mean it’s okay for anyone else to have it either. When you do finally get what you want, the problem is there’s always someone that’s trying to take it away. And all that wanting makes us blind to the fact that things aren’t exactly what we think they are. Maybe it’s better sometimes to just get what you need. -- N
Somerset House Summer Series 2016:
There’s no secret to the success of Somerset House’s annual gig series. Londoners love the venue for offering all the open-air excitement of a festival stage right in the centre of the capital, whilst artists enjoy playing to a captivated audience in a grand eighteenth-century courtyard by the Thames. The line-up is always great too – Adele, Amy Winehouse and Sam Smith have all graced the stage – and 2016 is no exception.
Hampton Court Palace Flower Show:
Returning once again in 2016, this high-summer event takes place over 34 acres in the spectacular grounds of Hampton Court Palace and features world-class gardens as well as marquees showcasing work by some of the country's leading designers and nurseries. There are many opportunities to buy plants (especially at the final-day sale on Sunday), fresh produce and gardening equipment. On the Saturday the show will host a special family day with activities such as seed sowing, trails across the grounds, storytelling and cookery classes for little ones.
