11th Post - March Overview

Finally, here are my recommendations for March, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, March has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital. Spring has sprung, and – like the flower beds in Hyde Park – London's events calendar is bursting into action. Outdoor fun is on the rise, but there are still plenty of brilliant exhibitions, pop-ups and markets for those of you not quite ready to hang up your big coat just yet.

St Patrick's Day in London

If anyone knows how to party, it's the Irish, and for St Patrick's Day they do it bigger and better than ever. On the Sunday before the big day (Sunday March 15) follow the St Paddy's Day Parade floats and marching band, then head to Trafalgar Square for a whole load o' craic at the annual festival. There'll be dancing, singing, Irish food, comedy and Gaelic-themed entertainment for the kids. Be sure to go green this March.

Rosewood London’s Slow Food & Living Market

Grand Holborn hotel Rosewood London is putting its inner courtyard to good use every Sunday by hosting a food market with the Slow (sustainable, local, organic and wholesome) Food and Living ethos at heart. All 30 of the traders are endorsed by Slow Food and Living, and shoppers will be able to fill fridges and pantries with such treats as Hansen & Lydersen Fish, Bath Soft Cheese, Chegworth Valley vegetables, Dark Arts Coffee and plenty more.

Real Food Market

Now weekly, the Real Food Market features around 40 food and drink producers selling seasonal produce directly to the public. Typical stalls include Spinach and Agusi with spicy Ghanaian stews; the Meantime Brewing Company with Greenwich-made beers; and Ash Green Organics with seasonal fruit and veg. There's a focus on sustainably and ethically produced food, and the market proudly supports small producers and independent traders. Whether you're coming to shop or snack, you can pick from French duck confit sandwiches, Spanish churros & chocolate and Blue Cheese British Organic Beef Burgers to Moroccan chicken dishes and Korritos (Korean BBQ meat wrapped up Mexican burrito style). Prices at the market are affordable, and a hearty meal costs about £8.

But, if you feel like relaxing this month then put your feet up and enjoy Glamour magazine, full of celebrity gossip, style and secrets!! Hope you all enjoy my recommendations and have a great time in March... See you in April, when I'll be sharing style secrets, as well as places to go and things to do to get you 'in the know' for Spring 2015!!
