Album of the Month: Ella Henderson
Ella Henderson has come an awfully long way since she trembled in front of the X Factor’s live audience and took their breaths away in 2012. Since then, she’s captured our hearts with her cheeky smile and a certain spell-bounding sadness in her vocals. Our ears have been privy to a sneak preview of her long-awaited debut album, Chapter One.
Already tipping the UKHOT40 Charts, this album was unarguably one of the biggest hits of the summer. From its powerhouse beginning, edgy verses and catchy chorus Ghost definitely secured Ella’s place in the limelight. The majority of the album is really, really good but if we’re going to be picky Give Your Heart Away and Rockets. They aren’t bad songs, but they are more album, than dance-floor, fillers. A fantastic first album with some real stand-out, sing your heart out tunes. We doubt this will be the only chapter in Ella’s music career! My rating 9/10.
