Where to Eat this Month - Browns Mayfair

The Browns building in Mayfair was originally Wells & Co, a high-end gentlemen’s outfitters. (We believe that Winston Churchill was once fitted for a suit here). It still retains some fantastic period features and the grand 19th century décor makes it a great venue There are some small private rooms (originally fitting rooms) available for private functions for up to 20 people. Join us for drinks, lunch or dinner after shopping in nearby Regent Street or New Bond Street. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind in this cosmopolitan part of London. The menu offers traditional British food with a contemporary twist. Each dish uses only the best quality ingredients, and where we can, we use local suppliers like Netherend Farm Dairy and Thomas J. Fudge’s. Along with delicious seasonal dishes, our menu includes a selection of Browns Classics that really epitomises our food philosophy.

Contemporary Classics - Delight your taste buds with tangy and refreshing lime, chilli and coriander pesto drizzled over our prawn and crab linguine. Paired with bubble and squeak, and irresistibly crispy prosciutto ham, our hearty chicken, tarragon and grain mustard pie is a must-try. The famous Browns burger is hand-pressed using premium grade beef sourced from the British Isles. We offer a choice of mouth watering toppings including baked mushroom, Somerset Brie and smoked bacon crumble. Enjoy two courses for £11.95 Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 7pm. My rating 9/10.
