February's Beauty Products

Doll Face:

Get ready for a full on girlie moment - oh-so pretty pink was al over the catwalks. Here's how to take Barbie out of the playroom and into the boardroom.

Ramp it Up - If you're worried about looking too saccharine go for a shade such as fuchsia (which has the benefit of making teeth appear whiter), while darker ink still nods at girlishness, it's much more sophisticated. With dark lips, eyes need to be made up too. Keep foundation to a minimum; sin should look perfected but retain a healthy sheen. Add a lightweight balm on top to moisturize and add shine simultaneously. For eyes, dust a metallic powder in aubergine on the lids, into the sockets and up to the brow bone, sweeping on to the lower lash lines too. To stop the eyes from looking sore, line the inner rims with a black kohl for a polished finish.

Beauty Products:

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Orchid - £7.99

Jurlique Love Balm - £10

Revlon Colour Stay Shadowlinks in Plum - £7.99

MAC Kohl Powder Eye Pencil in Feline - £14.99

Keep It Real:

Balance is key when wearing pink, try infusing pallid cheeks with a dusty pink powder, then dab a slightly darker and sheeny hue on to your eyelids and lips to warm up your face. Put aside concerns that it won't suit you; the blue in muted pink makes it ultra wearable for all skin tones. To keep things modern, it is recommended that you keep the rest of your look polished rather than plastic; keep hair a touch dishevelled and aim for velvety skin with neat, nude nails and you're good to go.

For this Look Try:

Clarins Ombre Cream to Powder Matte Eyeshadow in Nude Pink - £19

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited in WN285 - £20
