April's Beauty Products
Mineral makeup that's better than ever, and is famed for its 'free-from' accolades, but despite its lack of parabens, synthetics and chemicals, some people still find it unsuitable for their skin, and now we know why: oxychloride. Commonly added to powder formulations to create that shimmery, pearlescent finish, its crystalline structure and sharp edges can jab at skin, provoking irritation. Add all that buffing motion with a brush and there's a reason for any redness. Thankfully, most brands are now producing formulations without this ingredient, which is why it's the ideal time to get back on board with minerals. Make these new products your new starting point.
1. Nude by Nature Cashmere Pressed Blush in Pink Lilly - £22
The Aussies love their mineral make-up and the latest brand to land is their best-selling Nude by Nature. Available at Asos, try the blusher with avocado oil for glowy, bright cheeks.
2. BareMinerals BareSkin Serum Concealer - £22
Skincare and make-up hybrids are becoming common practise and the serum-concealer means you can bypass your eye cream and still look as though you've had a decent night's sleep.
3. Inika Foundation Liquid Mineral Foundation - £35
Put off by mineral foundation for fear of an over-powdered finish? Try a liquid version instead. Inika offers trial sizes of its foundation for just £1 each so you can find the right shade for you.
4. W3II People Expressionist Mascara - £19
Actress Dianna Agron loves this product and for good reason as the tightly knitted rubber bristles hook onto even the shortest of lashes, lifting them into place with its glossy, flexible formula.
Here we have some famous faces showing off this sweet, Spring look....
