36th Post - April Overview

Finally, here are my recommendations for April, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, this month has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital.

The laws of physics dictate that what goes up, must come down. Even when it feels as if our feet are a million miles off the ground. But when we've hit rock bottom we hope that some way, some how, our fortunes will change. That a great force will reverse the trend. The world  is filled with high rollers. Some people choose to bet on themselves. While others are happy to bet on someone else. But luck is a funny thing. It's easy to accept it when it goes your way, but when it doesn't... Call it injustice, call it treachery. But remember, the most important rule in gambling is that the house always wins.

London's Best Bars:

It’s a good time to be into cocktails, as London’s bars are freshening up for another summer. Scarfes Bar – arguably London’s best drinking spot – in the Rosewood in Holborn have just launched a brand new menu, and it’s an absolute stonker. There’s some serious mixology happening, and bar manager Martin has everything running smoother than ever. Meanwhile, over at the Mondrian London, rooftop bar the Rumpus Room has had a complete overhaul and is looking more glamorous than ever. With views over the Thames, St Paul’s and the city, it’s one to put on your summer list.

Events in April - The Mayfair Market
On Wednesday 12th April, (11am - 4pm) Lumley Street and the deck of Brown Hart Gardens will be hosting an array of market stalls. The hustle and bustle of the markets will include the likes of creative artisans, tasty treats and plenty of inspired crafts. So there will be loads going on for you to come and see. Also, on the Piazza there is The Garden Café which is a calm oasis right in the heart of Mayfair. Set in the beautifully renovated and restored elevated Brown Hart Gardens, it’s surrounded by open space and modern planting. Serving a selection of delicious salads, sandwiches, coffee, tea and freshly baked cakes, the Garden Café is the ideal place to while away a peaceful morning or afternoon. Just a stone’s throw from Selfridges on Oxford Street, the café is perfectly placed to provide weary shoppers with a much-needed coffee break or a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon.
