This Year's Best Dresses - 2018
This has seen some great style and fashion on the red carpet and here we have the stars that raised the bar for red carpet glamour.... Here we have the best red carpet moments this year...
Dakota Johnson:
Women and men wore black to the Golden Globes this year, and Dakota Johnson walked the red carpet in a glittery black Gucci gown and sparkling jewellery. It wasn't until she turned around, however, that we fully appreciated the look. The back featured a crystal-embellished bow design, and completely left us stunned.

Taylor Swift:
Taylor Swift took a pause from her Reputation tour to hit up the Billboard Music Awards. The star strutted into the party in Atelier Versace, this marking her first red carpet appearance in two years. While Taylor's known for her leggy looks, this rose-coloured gown, which featured regal helpings of feathers and beads and a long, floor-trailing cape, was something else. Taylor's slit was so high that our jaws dropped to the floor as the singer stepped with such confidence especially considering the insane platform on her metallic heels, etched with snake-like detail. Taylor's snake ring completed the story, and she finished her outfit with Hueb earrings.
Gigi Hadid:
Keeping up with the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" theme, Gigi Hadid's custom Versace gown for the 2018 Met Gala was inspired by the stained glass windows of a church. But it's not the glass-inspired details you'll see right through . . . it's the sky-high slit that shows off her entire leg! If that's not enough, then wait until you see it from behind, where cutout pieces truly hammer home the inspiration behind Gigi's gown. The 23-year-old model's shimmering Versace gown is a true work of art, complete with shimmering segments of fabric stitched together to create a flowing, single-sleeved masterpiece reminiscent of an ancient cathedral. Gigi accessorised the dress with simple drop earrings and a sleek hairstyle.
Lea Michele:
The Golden Globes returns for another year complete with glamour, Hollywood royalty and a powerful message – ‘time’s up’ for sexual harassment, a statement being endorsed by the entertainment industry’s biggest names such as Vita Liberata fan, Lea Michele. Black was the colour of choice to support the movement, with celebrities honouring victims of abuse, harassment, marginalization and under appreciation. #WhyWeWearBlack. Lea Michele chose black to show her solidarity, completing the look with a golden Vita Liberata glow!
Diane Kruger:
If it takes a village, Diane Kruger's 2018 Golden Globes look was seemingly created in a magical metropolis. Many celebs can thank their teams for any red carpet praise: There's oftentimes a facialist, groomer, manicurist, hairstylist, makeup artist, manager, handler…the list goes on. The result of this collaboration is found in near-perfect red carpet photos, in which almost every angle is accounted for. You'll even find a stylist or an assistant in said photos, trailing behind his or her client, adjusting a jacket or fixing a train. Such was not the case with Diane's beaded Prada gown (or at least, we didn't catch it happening), which adds to the power of one of the most standout looks of the night.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks so elegant while walking the press line at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 30-year-old supermodel wasn’t the only model seen at the star-studded event.
Zendaya:
The actress and singer, 21, stunned in a figure-hugging embellished nude-coloured fishtail ballgown by Michael Kors Collection as she worked her red carpet prowess. Zendaya looked absolutely flawless on the red carpet in the backless number which served to accentuate her slender figure.
Blake Lively:
Created by Versace, the actress' gown was an incredibly ornate ruby and gold design that featured some pretty intricate and extensive beading (hence, the 600 hours it took to hand-create). The look perfectly blended the Met Gala's "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" theme with a little bit of Game of Thrones vibes. At the top, the dress featured a jewel-encrusted gold corset that showed off Lively's figure perfectly. Meanwhile, the train of the gown was a deep ruby red with two sheer panels and gold embroidering.
Jennifer Garner:
The actress arrived in a royal blue pleated gown featuring a fitted bodice and a sweeping train and cape. She also paid homage to the old school beauty looks stars love wearing to the Oscars with her side-swept wavy blowout.
Meghan Markle:
Meghan chose a more relaxed gown by Stella McCartney for the evening reception at Frogmore house, and we love every inch of it. Ditching the sleeves of her more formal first wedding gown, Meg - or the Duchess of Sussex, as we should call her - picked a halterneck dress that skimmed her body.
