March's Beauty Products
March often feels like a bit of an awkward in-between month. Excitable chatter about the start of spring is invariably dampened by indecisive weather, and I’m already feeling a slight bit of panic about the passing of time as I realise we’re closing in on the first quarter of the year. Then, there are the positives: with spring in our grasp, it’s a time for renewal, some sunshine and saying, ‘Wow, look it’s still light outside at 5pm.’ It’s also a time when we see a lot of new beauty products launched in anticipation of the impending new season.
Westman Atelier Sun Tone Bronzing Drops Soleil
Created out of her expertise as a make-up artist, a recent launch from Westman Atelier comes in the form of these gorgeous liquid bronzers. They deliver a natural-looking, sun-kissed glow, meaning there’s no shimmer in sight. You can either apply it all over the face for warmth or to areas where the sun naturally hits, and I’m pleased to say it doesn’t fade or go streaky post-lunchtime.
Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum
Yes, I’m somebody whose handbag is filled with about 11 different lip products at any given time, but I find myself reaching for this often. Laneige is the brand behind some of my favourite skincare, and they’ve brought that same innovation to this. While it comes in gorgeous ‘nude’ shades that suit everybody, it’s infused with argan ceramide to keep lips hydrated. Plus, the biggest win of all: it isn’t the slightest bit sticky.
Nails.Inc Jelly Effect Nail Polish
Pastel tones are slowly creeping back onto our nails, and lilac is set to be the shade that dominates this season. Like chrome and glazed finishes of the past, jelly is set to be the new big texture, which is why Nails.Inc’s new Jelly Effect Nail Polish is so perfect. Packing a punch of colour and fast drying, they deliver a translucent, jelly-like finish that looks ultra shiny.
Chanel Rouge Coco Baume
While these Chanel tinted lip balms launched earlier this year, I’ve been loving using them over the last month in particular. One swipe delivers a flattering wash of colour, but even better, they can be built up for a stronger colour pay-off. Plus, it contains oleoactive, an oil derived from olive trees, to protect lips against environmental aggressors.
Kate Somerville HydraKate Illuminating SPF50+ Drops
Not only does Kate Somerville’s new SPF50 provide high sun protection, but it’s packed with skincare benefits, too. It utilises the buzzy ingredient of the moment, ectoin, to give skin a hydrated boost. Plus, 24.5% non-nano zinc oxide means it shields skin against harmful UV rays without leaving you with a white cast.
