Healthy Snacks This Summer

The beginning of Summer means making sure you have the best beach body, however when you see the snack stand and it smells so go and you want something better that a boring salad, try these healthy alternatives which are delicious and so much better for you....

Hawaiian Sliders with Fries:

Bitsy burgers have the perfect amount of lean protein without the grease. And just one sweet potato is a boost of vitamins and antioxidants.

You Need:

1/4 lb. Lean Ground Turkey
3 Slices of Cheese
3 Slider Buns
3 Slices of Pineapple
3 Dashes of Hot Sauce
1 Medium Sweet Potato

To Make:

Split turkey into three slider size patties. Broil or grill for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until firm. Top with cheese, place on buns and add the pineapple and a dash of sauce. For fries, slice potato, place on a greased baking sheet, and bake at 450 degrees until crispy.


Caprese Chicken Pizza:

Homemade pizza = less grease than your average slice. Plus, you can load up on protein to help you recharge after a day in the sun.

You need:

Flatbread Pizza Crust
2 Handfuls of Cherry Tomatoes, diced
1/2 Cup Mozzarella Cheese
4-5 Basil Leaves
1 Chicken Breast, grilled
Salt and Pepper

To Make:

Sprinkle crust with diced tomatoes, mozzarella, basil leaves, and chicken breast. Season with slat and pepper; bake according to crust directions.
