Fashion - Pretty Pastels
As every year the pastel colour trend returns to our fashion radar. The only difference is to previous years, that it starts this year much earlier around. In the past it didn’t really kick off before end of February or beginning of March to get us all into the mood for a fresh spring weather wardrobe. This year the pastel colours that reminds us of ice cream sorbet flavours have an early fashion moment in 2014. The new colour palette feels fresh and modern and is a quiet change to the dark and bright colour palette of the previous season.
However, this colour palette is pale and doesn’t not look great on every woman’s skin or body shape. Plus being dressed all in pastel colours do not look great in dark, wet and grey weather it is simply not going with the theme! So, my advice make the best out of it by wearing icy colour tops to add a fresh and modern feel to your look for the start of 2014 or buy your favourite items now and wait for warmer weather to come.
Here we have Gossip Girl star Blake Lively in pretty pink with aqua accessories. This playful look is great for strolling around the busy city whilst shopping or a Sunday afternoon at brunch. Also, this look can be carried through the summer and it displays elegance and 'Chic Parisien'
To try this fresh look visit stores like New Look for pastels and reasonable prices or why not try Ted Baker for a dress that will get everyone's head turning this Summer.
Kate Hudson dialled up the glamour a few more notches for her stunning red carpet look for the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball, held at the Rockefeller Centre in New York City. Her sweetheart-neckline gown, featuring a tie detail and side slit, was styled with Tiffany & Co. jewels, nude peep-toes and a cream clutch. Also, her glossy side-swept waves and a pretty pink pout completed her timeless look.
If you are inspired by this look, try again New Look for aqua pieces, or try Forever 21 for long pastel coloured dresses.
