5th Post - September Overview

Finally, here are my recommendations for September, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat. In the meantime, September has a lot to offer especially in London, so head this month and take in all the best new events, exhibitions and best events in the capital. Hyped and rising ghetto-electro rapper Iggy Azalea brings her risqué rhymes to London, backed by dirty beats and pop hooks. Her debut album 'The New Classic' and a series of high-energy hit singles have won her plenty of support over here, so this relatively small date should sell out in a flash.

Real Food Market:

Now weekly, the Real Food Market features around 40 food and drink producers selling seasonal produce directly to the public. Typical stalls include Spinach and Agusi with spicy Ghanaian stews; the Meantime Brewing Company with Greenwich-made beers; and Ash Green Organics with seasonal fruit and veg. There's a focus on sustainably and ethically produced food, and the market proudly supports small producers and independent traders. Whether you're coming to shop or snack, you can pick from French duck confit sandwiches, Spanish churros & chocolate and Blue Cheese British Organic Beef Burgers to Moroccan chicken dishes and Korritos (Korean BBQ meat wrapped up Mexican burrito style). Prices at the market are affordable, and a hearty meal costs about £8.

More London Free Festival:

Twelve years in and the More London Free Festival is again bringing an impressive line-up of events and performances to the concrete amphitheatre below the Mayor's leaning glass blob of an office on the South Bank. For 2014 the events are divided into five cultural categories, and the festival kicks off with a four-day street party (June 4-8) of Latin and Caribbean food and fun.

Free Fringe runs from June 4-20 and features light-hearted shows from Pantaloons Theatre Company and The Merry Opera Company's romantic comedy 'Kiss Me, Figaro!'. From June 23-July 6 an LED screen will show full Wimbledon coverage, and music is the focus from July 9-25, with regular lunchtime and evening performances. Gods and Monsters Theatre present The Ring Cycle Plays for the theatre contingent (August 6-31). The final focus is film, and from September 3-26 there's a schedule of free screenings, from the critically acclaimed ('Philomena', 'Life of Pi') to cult classics ('The Goonies', 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'). All events are free and no booking is required, but we recommend you arrive early and bring a cushion.

But, if you feel like relaxing this month, then put your feet up and enjoy Glamour magazine, full of celebrity gossip, style and scandals!! Hope you all enjoy my recommendations and have a fun time in September..... See you in October, for Halloween treats (or tricks) and I'll be making sure how you can battle Winter but in the most glamorous way!!! Have fun.... xxx
