68th Post - December Overview

Finally, here are my recommendations for December, hope you enjoy them and find them interesting to watch, listen and eat.

Camus said that life is the sum of our choices. Choose wisely and fortune smiles upon you. But choose poorly? You never know what price you'll have to pay. We all like to think that we're in the driver's seat of our own lives. But the truth is, the idea that we can control our fate is an illusion. You can choose the most loyal friends, the dream job, the truest love. But at the end of the day, our fate is decided for us. All we can do is hope we have the strength to cope with the hand she deals us... -- N

Christmas at Kew Gardens

This year, the mile-long, twinkling trail holds some new surprises. Visitors new and old will be guided along a different route from previous editions, but expect it to be just as lit. There will be a shower of silvery vines drifting from the top of the Treetop Walkway which light up in trippy patterns to beautiful Christmas music. Down below you'll be able to spy folkloric illuminations of mythical fairy creatures and Will-o’the Wisps. And if that wasn't enough, there will also be new glittering spiral tree installations and laser projections illuminating the iconic Temperate House.

Christmas By The River:

The annual Christmas by the River market is set to return to London Bridge City once again in 2019. Expect an ace combination of homemade gifts, delicious food from German-style chalets and amazing views of the London landmarks the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. A selection of 60 independent traders will be on hand with stalls full of stocking fillers for even the most difficult person to buy for, while a handful of bars will be serving up Christmas cocktails, mulled wine, hot cider and craft beers.
